Please note that speakers will be limited to current EALTHY members, including institutional and associate memberships. If you would like to present but are not yet a member, please join. Membership is only €55 for a year with discounts for institutions.

Note:

If you are on any social media platform, please provide all your handles, as this will be used by EALTHY to help promote your presentation before, during and after the conference.

Your photo/s will be included in the conference programme and used to promote your presentation at the social media.

At the English for Healthcare conference, you will meet language teachers and communication skills trainers working with healthcare professionals, both in training and in workplace, OET providers, and practitioners from the medical translation and interpreting field.

Poster presentations provide you a unique opportunity to show what you´ve been working on and to share your experience and outcomes of already completed work. It is also time to network and develop potential partnerships for your future projects.

We aim to stimulate discussion on current issues and challenges that language professionals are facing in their work with both, healthcare professionals in clinical settings and students.

We welcome proposals from lecturers working with healthcare professionals, academics, but also PhD. students.

Proposals can cover topics from the field of

• Applied linguistics, terminology, and corpus linguistics

• Translation and interpreting

• Teaching methodology, development of communication skills and their assessment

• AI-related issues

• Medical humanities

• Veterinary medicine
